It's fairly magical when, after examining thousands of different pictures, a face pops out who looks exactly like I'd pictured one of my characters. When we saw the photo of this pretty lady, we immediately looked at each other and burst out simultaneously, "Oh, THAT's Kitty!"
Lately Gabriel's been helping me search through thousands of antique photographs to find just the right images to use as inspiration for the characters in my Tales of Chetzemoka series —the series which started with "First Wheel in Town". (I'm almost finished with the second book —watch for it soon!) It's fairly magical when, after examining thousands of different pictures, a face pops out who looks exactly like I'd pictured one of my characters. When we saw the photo of this pretty lady, we immediately looked at each other and burst out simultaneously, "Oh, THAT's Kitty!" Our responses were almost as immediate when we finally found "Dr. Brown". First Wheel in Town.
