Our Bird of Thanks: A History of the Turkey

When Americans give thanks for the bounty of our land, we show our appreciation for life's blessings by feasting upon turkeys.  Come learn more about this fascinating bird and its relationship to our nation's history. 

If you'd like us to come to your community, please ask your local bookstore or museum to sponsor a presentation / author event!


We'd be honored if you would ask your community to choose one of Sarah's books as a "Community Reads" or "One Book" topic.  These wonderful programs are a way to bring people together and participate in projects of interest to everyone.  Check with your local library to find out how books are chosen to be Community Reads in your local area.  If your library gives you a chance to vote for a specific book, please do so!
